Introducing Bloc Fest—a full day of all things bouldering, made for all climbers.
Bloc Fest is a brand new comp format built for the whole climbing community. Four qualification tiers mean you're climbing against people at your level, with the top six male and top six female from each tier going through to the finals on the day.
Here's how it works:
Choose your session—three two-hour slots run from 8:30am, 10:45am and 1:00pm.
Log your best results across 30 problems, full grade spectrum.
Finals are split into four tiers (three score-based + youth U14), with cash prizes up for grabs!
But it's not all comp. Here's just some of the rest of the day:
Live music.
Movement & technique workshops.
Shoe demos.
Café & bar specials (because obviously).
This is the very first time Bloc Fest has ever run—and Hamilton gets to host it first. Auckland and Christchurch are up in August.
