Rock On - Waipari Climbing Festival
You can now register for the event here: https://docs.google.com/.../1FAIpQLScE9e0TGSM.../viewform...
This relaxed, three-day gathering brings climbers from across Aotearoa together to camp, climb, and celebrate the roots of our sport. It’s all about slowing down, reconnecting with the community, sharing stories, and enjoying good rock in good company.
RockOn 2026 is a return to the grassroots spirit of climbing — less hype, more heart. Spend your days exploring classic Waipari routes, joining casual meet-ups, swapping beta, and soaking up the summer crag vibes. You can expect to find climbing competitions, highlining, yoga and meditation, and even a bonfire event with live band and DJs. In the evenings, unwind with mellow tunes, community potluck moments, and plenty of space to connect with new and familiar faces, including a special access forum held by ACAT with free pizza!
The focus this year is simple: climb, connect, and celebrate the culture that makes Aotearoa climbing special.
RockOn– Waipari Climbing Festival remains a proud “Leave No Trace” event. Let’s enjoy the land, look after it, and leave it just as we found it.
Further details about the events schedule, climbing comps, and other information will be sent out to those who register and/or posted to the events page at: https://www.facebook.com/FriendsofWaipari
